Very nice! Looks like a good start. You should unpot the plants and put them in the substrate.

Ya i was'nt sure if i should leave it in the pot or remove it because th roots are in the pot very tightly and i didn't want to damage the plant, but i'll give it a shot, maybe cut the pot with a box cutter or somthing, thanks for the input.

Take them off, remove the rock wool. You will not hurt the plant if you remove a few roots.

The tank is 29g, with a Rena SmartFilter rated for 55g aquarium, it moves 250 gallons of water an hour, my friend says it's overkill but i think its just fine lol.

You're good on the filter. Might even be a little under filter-you generally want twice what the rating is-but it's close enough, with live plants, that you're okay.
Nifty looking tank, any thought on what you still want to add?

Nice start! My first tank is cycling and looks a lot like yours. Good luck.

I have a bushy nosed pleco in all my tanks , 55 gal, 5 gal, 10 gal. they do a great job in cleaning the excess food and algae from the tank walls and decorations. I just love them as they are my little vaccums for my aquariums. They only get 4"-6 max and can live to be 10-12 yrs. Talk about a long life span. You should get one.

Nice tank. Hope the 3 weeks went well for the fish and plants. If the fish made it 3 weeks, you probably got healthy ones. Looking forward to your next batch.
