Firemouth/severums

i was just wondering if a pair of firemouths would be too aggresive for 2 severums when the firemouths breed

Mainly depends on the tank size and how much cover is available. If it's less than a 4' tank I wouldn't recommend mixing them.

Firemouths temperment is mostly all show and very little go, meaning they will flare their gills and display at another fish and usually wont do anymore than that. Severums also grow substantially larger than the firemouths. If you have an adequate tank size and give your firemouths a back corner of the tank kind of seperate from the rest of the tank like with some plants and rock they should be fine.

Thanks guys, my tank is a 260 litre 3 foot X 2 foot X 2 foot, i know that its a bit small for too full size severums but i will sell them if they get too big, they are only a few centre metres in length at the moment.
