Sexing Gold/Yellow Zebra Danio?

hey,

i was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on how to sex Gold/Yellow Zebra Danio's. I have 3 right now and one of them has longer fins near where the anal fin would be, the others fins are shorter and and they seem to be a little larger then the other(as in fatter not longer) any help would be great thanks :D

Fins are not an indication of gender.

Males are more slim then females. Females have a rounder/higher body. This is very easy to see when the female that have eggs but is usually visable when they dont as well.

Thanks for the update William, i thought the fins may have something to do with attracting female (that was my logic anyway:P) thanks for the input will help for sure

No the long fins are a man made strain (just like the golds) and are present in both genders:)

But your logic would have been correct in a lot of other species :-)
