I noticed two angels would not leave my silver dollars alone today and there was a lot of chasing going on. I just looked in the tank and now I see why.

I still don't know which is the female but I have to assume the larger but the other one is only 5 months old. I didn't know they mated that early.

Didn't have a tank ready or slate out or nothing. This one took me by surprise.

Well, looks like your going to have some babies on your hands! Congratulations! Are you going to be keeping them or selling them?

Funny how things go, huh? Yesterday that elder died not have her young and today I didn't expect anything and have oddles of eggs from the angels.

Not expecting much here as they are in a tank with gravel so will probably lose all if not most.

As I mentioned to you yesterday, the only fish in this area is Mrs. Paul's, I have no idea what I'd do with them. I have 9 angels now.

More tanks!

Gravel is bad for the angels? do you have a spare tank you could move them too, because we pay 6 bucks for 1 inch angels around here. You could get yourself some tank money, right? lol

I may have to clean out the 10 gallon and move the spawning tube to that but I'd like to see how the parents do with them.

Gez.....I have no brine shrimp, no fungual meds or nothing.

They must have strategically planned when it would be the most inconvienent time to spawn. There out to get you!

Congradulations!!! good luck with the babies, if I were closer I'd offer to take a couple of fry off your hands for a good price, but I'm nowhere near you.

The daddy is one of my juvies but guess I have to call him a man now? He looks so odd swimming around with her as he's smaller. He was the size of a nickle when I got him just before Thanksgiving.

She's the one I constantly tried with the other large one to get to spawn and all they ever did lip lock. She wanted nothing to do with him.

Eggs were all dead this morning but at least I know I have a pair finally. Boy, he sure has turned into a bossy little brat since he got a girlfriend. He thinks he's running the show in the angel tank now.

Well, congrats and I'm sorry both at the same time! Glad to hear you got a pair, sorry the eggs didn't make it, but at least now you can set yourself up properly for future grandbabies!

Actually, it was fun as heck to watch them but I really don't want 300 angels. He is really funny to watch now. Just herding all this fish in the tank around like he's a real big shot now.

Thats kind of sad. It would have been nice to see a small school of dime sized angels.

Good luck in the future.

No problem. They will keep spawning now about every two-3 weeks. This has only begun.
