36X12 footprint, just cycled and planted a few plants. I plan to add 2 GBR's a little later, once my tank is fully established.

I want to know some schooling fish that would go well with the Rams. I also plan to add a few Cories (8 or so) and some Red Cherry Shrimp if that changed any stocking suggestions, and maybe a Bristlenose Pleco.

I know Neon and Cardinals will be the 1st options, but almost all tetras at my LFS have white spots on them...so I don't feel like taking a chance with them. Looking for a few other good suggestions though, as I prefer schooling fish.

There are dozens of tetras species to pic from as well as several different rasboras. I would pic a smaller non nippy kind. Lemons, glo lights, pristellas are all good choices. Rummy noses would like the warmer temps that GBRs prefer.

I agree with the rummynose suggestion. I have them in my tank and I love them. Emperor tetras would also be cool, or penguin tetras would be nice.

Lemon Tetras would look great with the GBRs - mine are VERY peaceful and not nippy at all.

Cherry shrimp are fish yummies, best kept in their own tank if you want to keep/raise them. Rosy or cherry barbs are also peaceful, active schooling fish.

Finding clean neon/cardinals can be a real task. Rummynose or bloodfin tetras would look good. Just about any of the smaller tetras would work really well in that setup though.
