Is this really your tank setup? If so, you may want to rethink it just a little bit. Comets don't belong in 20gal tanks, not even a single comet. First, they do no grow to the size of the tank, and second they do get to be 18" if they don't die early. Your tank is headed for serious problems due to bioload overload.
I'd suggest you start by reading the following:

That should help you understand why you will have problems. Honestly, air is the least of your worries right now.

Let's please avoid the riddles and go for the questions. There are some problems with your current setup but we could pick it apart all day. Instead let's see what questions you have.

Ricci, what are your specific questions, please?

The question is right there,... It says "Is there such a thing as too much air?"I'm not so sure but I'm sure someone can answer.

Nio only so much gas can be dissolved in the water, no danger of too much. The goldies like well aerated water anyway.

Yes you are right Violet, the question was there, just a very roundabout way of asking it.

I don't think you can ever have too much air in a tank, the more important thing to be considered is; Does the tank have enough surface area to provide for the proper exchange of gases and release of CO2. If there isn't enough surface agitation and surface area, the CO2 (carbon dioxide) doesn't get released into the air, this can harm and even kill the fish.

EDIT: Isn't there 20 1inch fish in the 20 gallon tank....that is how I read it.

God i hate this post in poetry thing that the OP continually does.

No, your 20g tank is too small for the comet. You need a bigger tank

LOL your right.. I'm not sure if there's a 21" fish and a juvinile comet or just a comet now... I wonder ??? hmmmmm, interesting way of asking a question.

I get twenty 1 inch comets in a 20 gallon tank, with air bag, air stone and a cascade filter. 25% of the water is changed 2 times a month. Question is if there is two much air in the tank. Answer is no. I leave the stocking to you goldfish keepers.

20 gallon,
Twenty,
1 inch + juvenile comets,
This is how I read it LOL!.....it is a 20 gallon tank and there are 20 juvenile comets around 1inch + in length. :ssuprised:

EDIT again: Looks like I read it the same as Rich does :)

Not very, Violet. Doesn't do much good if you chose to write in riddles rather than ask a simple question. Nonsense is meant to annoy and it does.

Thank you translaters. lolol

Now I get it he has 20 1" commets (feeder tank). The air stones aren't going to make too much air in the water, the exchange is done at the surface the air bubbles just move the water. So what you are asking is can the goldfish handle the current created by the air bubbles?
Took a bit to realise that you were more then likely asking the question wrong! And ps a Tsunamii is just a flood!!!!! If you are planning on that tank being a feeder tank for some other fish then I suppose it should be okay for the fish to be in there for a short time. But if it's a permanant residence then no no no.
Overfiltration is a deffent must, goldfish are messy! There water can turn foul rather quickly!

After reading I have to agree with the rapidly forming consensus.

The OP appears to have 20x 1-inch+ Comets in a 20g

You probably shouldnt have 1 comet in there, let alone 20
