Hello everyone, my name is John (Scooter) from Ohio. Currently I have two tanks, a 26 gallon bowfront with two Corys and a Balloon Mollie who thinks she's tougher than my two Jack Dempseys (both 2 inches) that are in my 55 gallon. I'm fairly new to aquariums & fish (3 weeks), so any information or suggestions reguarding my fish or ideas on stocking my 26 gallon is appreciated.

Most mollys seem to think they tough. but when your demdseys get bigger they will take care of her, if you know what i mean. a 26 gallon is a good size to begin with!! you might want to get another tank for your corys and molly.,soon.

Rollie, my Mollie and Cory Cats are currently living the life of luxary all by themselves in the 26 gallon tank. The two Jack Dempseys are by themselves in a 55 gallon tank, surprisingly they seem to be best friends.

Rollie, is it possible to tell the sex of Dempseys at this early age, the only real difference I can see is one darkens its colors a lot more (at feeding time turns almost black). Any other advice on Dempseys based on your experiences. Congradulations on 50 tanks, I thought two were work testing water, changing water.

THE female might be redder on it belly. the male top fin on his back will be more pointed. the females top fin will be more rounded. the males is most times abit bigger than the females. when they get ready to spawn they most times kiss each othre on the lip. i change over 50 gallon of water per day. they most times make good parent.

Ford, find a picture you like that fits size requirements (see bottom of profile page), save it on your computer (you must rename it when you save, url is too long on most of the pictures), enter picture in upload from your machine at the bottom of the profile page, then submit it. You can also read my avatar ? in the chatterbox forum.
