I had a shoal of albinos in my big tank and a long julli in my smaller tank. Since consolidating both, the little julli has taken to shoaling quite happily with the albinos. I was under the impression that the bronze was the species the albino was color morphed from, was I wrong? Or is this just a case of a weird julli? If I didn't know better, it was trying to mate with some of the albinos, and they seem pretty accepting of him (or her, not sure how to sex them)

Anyway, is this near-species thing common? Anyone happen to have two species of cory in a single tank like this?

I have mixed corys and they will all hang together, though they stay with their own species more. I do not know if corys can crossbreed or not.

My mixed corys hang out together, but they do gravitate to their own more. But if you only have one julli, it most likely feels at home with the albinos because of all the fish in the tank, it is most like him.

My cories are willing to school with just about any fish that'll let them. For a while there my Golden Gourami was even leading the school around the tank.

If you are interested, the female cories are fatter or thicker in the body. That is really the only way to tell.

I was curious. The tricky part is I have two large albinos and three smaller ones...I have no idea if the little guys are just young or if there's a couple different strains.

I'm sure with six, statistically there's at least one of each gender. I mean, not looking for them to breed, but if it happens, spiffy. I'm eying a couple pairs of swordtails and a bolivian ram pair for my adventures in spawning.

As far as I know corys will not not cross breed.
My cories seem to spawn when there is a drastic weather change.
Not sure if has anything to do with it but that just what I noticed about my peppers.
I also thought that the albinos were bronze corys.
