Hey guys,

Well I finally after a long search have found a pair of these loverly fish.
My question is has any one had much success in getting them to breed and get the fry grown up.

They will be in a 30g tall main tank, planted. With a 17g grow out tank.

Cheers,

mac

Never even heard of them.
Could always try traditional gourami breeding methods.
Mature female and male in a tank, when they spawn remove her, when the eggs hatch remove him.
Otherwise I'm no help at all! =D

I've never heard of them either...which isn't unusual at all :hmm3grin2orange:

...but I'm of no help...

Do you have a photo of them? Or do they have another common name?

I thought it said that as well. They are stunning fish provided it is the banded gourami.

I have kept and bred them. They do breed like other gourami. Best breed with 4-6 inches of water in the tank and almost no filtration. The tank should be heavily planted. introduce the female to the breeding tank a week or so before the male and feed her a lot n(varied diet) to get her in spawning condition before introducing the male.
