Hi,
How DO I identify female Gourami and male Guorami.

The coloring on that one is so faint, it might be a female dwarf flame. However, females are so rarely sold at stores, that would make me think it's probably a male. I'll be interested to hear what others think!

Female dwarf gouramis are silver/dull grey in color.
I'm almost positive that yours is male, just dull looking. Did you buy yours recently? Stress could have caused the muted color.
Males are always the brighter color of the two. Females are dull.
As for females being hard to get, most to all shops I get mailing list's from, have females all the time.
Not only that they are more common than males at times in NZ.

Yes but the water was change a few times already.
Could that be the problem?
