...Without Buying More Expensive Or Ordered Food.
---
Anyone who has tried Wardley's probably has figured out by now that there are much better brands out there and that Wardley's tends to dull out the colors on many species of cory.
Last month my cories were all bland looking, while asleep AND active. I was getting very tired of throwing in the shrimp pellets as they just fell apart and sifted into my gravel.
However, hidden away in a supply cupboard I had a large container of sinking koi/pondfish pellets that my goldfish were too stupid to find. I figured "Well, it can't hurt to try these with my cories. They're bottom feeders, so maybe they'll have better luck finding them."
Boy was I right! I have NEVER seen my cories move so fast towards food as the first time I threw in those sinking koi pellets. Within a week their colors were back to the same shade as when I originally bought them. Now, a month lately, their black markings are positively dark and beautiful, and they're much more active at night.
I wish I knew the name of the brand so I could share it with every peppered cory owner. It takes much longer to fall apart than Wardley's, and I've never found residue leftover from it. However it was just bought in bulk, as I thought I would be using it for the 400g goldfish pond.
The pellets are 1/2 the length of Wardley's shrimp pellets and black. All I can tell you, I'm afraid.
However, I thought I'd share, just in case there is anyone else out there stuck with Wardley's pellets. I highly suggest looking for even an un-named sinking pellet, even just to test. It could be the food your cories have been waiting for. :ssmile:
