Dangit, Dr Pepper wasn't originally an option LOL, that way beats out coke and pepsi for me. Funny thing about Dr Pepper, when I have had problems with ulcers it's one of the only things flavored I can drink, and it actually helps my stomach, a friend of mine told me that and I didn't believe it till I tried.

I don't drink much soda (iced tea, though... I like the crystal light knock off lemon tea mix!), but when I do drink it, I like diet wild cherry pepsi and if I were going to drink a sugar soda (maybe 1x a year, or if my sugar drops too low), I prefer Pepsi then, too.

If I'm drinking a soda, it's caffeine-free Dr Pepper, with the occasional caffeinated Dublin Dr Pepper (the type made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup). I went to college in Waco, which is the home of Dr Pepper and the Dr Pepper Museum.

For the most part, though, I prefer milk or water. Healthier and cheaper!

My favourite drink is either "V" or "Mother". Yes. Energy drink fan :19:

Coke is my 2nd favourite though. But I have to fill the cup with ice and leave the coke for awhile in the fridge. It tastes wierd if its not realy really cold! :-D

Somethings to think about:
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from porcelain and china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.
8. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

For Your Info:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now, tell me - do you REALLY want to drink that? I'll stick to lemonade, iced tea and water....

Actually,... most of the above were debunked

Right! My dad used to tell me my stomach would be "cooked" from drinking coke. Well here I am, all these years later, and I have been sucking down the coke forever. Even single day. I used to drink more than I do now but even right now I drink a 2-Liter bottle a day.

Which ones have been debunked? If this is "old data" I'll delete it from my files, and stop perpetuating myths.

I think the pH on the phosphoric acid is still legit.

this was not debunked....and it's the worst part of it , reports were made by reliable associations like amnesty international , and about polluting I found many articles one of which in the National Geographic

I saw an answer identical to yours on yahoo. Word for word, infact. But you know, products are marketed just like politics. Someone starts a rumor, the rumor spreads, the lies come in and there ya go. It's all part of the game we play and allow ourselves to get sucked into.

Believe me, coke would not be able to be sold if it did all you claim. (And blood is cleaned up off the highway but the fire department.)

Coca-Cola Crisis in India

Communities across India are under assault from Coca-Cola practices in the country. A pattern has emerged as a result of Coca-Cola's bottling operations in India.

Communities across India living around Coca-Cola's bottling plants are experiencing severe water shortages, directly as a result of Coca-Cola's massive extraction of water from the common groundwater resource. The wells have run dry and the hand water pumps do not work any more. Studies, including one by the Central Ground Water Board in India, have confirmed the significant depletion of the water table.
When the water is extracted from the common groundwater resource by digging deeper, the water smells and tastes strange. Coca-Cola has been indiscriminately discharging its waste water into the fields around its plant and sometimes into rivers, including the Ganges, in the area. The result has been that the groundwater has been polluted as well as the soil. Public health authorities have posted signs around wells and hand pumps advising the community that the water is unfit for human consumption.
In two communities, Plachimada and Mehdiganj, Coca-Cola was distributing its solid waste to farmers in the area as "fertilizer". Tests conducted by the BBC found cadmium and lead in the waste, effectively making the waste toxic waste. Coca-Cola stopped the practice of distributing its toxic waste only when ordered to do so by the state government.
Tests conducted by a variety of agencies, including the government of India, confirmed that Coca-Cola products contained high levels of pesticides, and as a result, the Parliament of India has banned the sale of Coca-Cola in its cafeteria. However, Coca-Cola not only continues to sell drinks laced with poisons in India (that could never be sold in the US and EU), it is also introducing new products in the Indian market. And as if selling drinks with DDT and other pesticides to Indians was not enough, one of Coca-Cola's latest bottling facilities to open in India, in Ballia, is located in an area with a severe contamination of arsenic in its groundwater.

Destroying Lives, Livelihoods and Communities

Water shortages, pollution of groundwater and soil, exposure to toxic waste and pesticides is having impacts of massive proportions in India. In a country where over 70% of the population makes a living related to agriculture, stealing the water and poisoning the water and soil is a sure recipe for disaster. Thousands of farmers in India have been affected by Coca-Cola's practices, and Coca-Cola is guilty of destroying the livelihoods of thousands of people in India. Unfortunately, we do not even know the extent of the damage as a result from exposure to the toxic waste and pesticides as these are long term problems. Most affected are the marginalized communities such as the Adivasis (Indigenous People's) and Dalits (formerly untouchables), as well as the low-income communities, landless agricultural workers and women. Taken in its entirety, that's a lot of people in India.

Oh, I've got one very selective memory. I claimed to very rarely have soda but conveniently forgot to include that which I mix with bacardi rum... I do love rum and coke / pepsi. Preference there is for pepsi, non diet, but the usual is diet pepsi & rum. That is when I'm not drinking my cheap drunk, low carb cran apple great value sugar free drink mix (crystal light knock off) w/ vodka.

Neon......

This is not due to the coke receipt but the way that India is bottling it and their lack of following simple bottling quidelines or health standards.

Same with shrimp and why it reached the United States with human feces. The Chinese were dripping it from the waters filled with human poop. They also imported anti-freeze in dog food. Should Purina be removed from the market because the Chinese messed up in their manufacturing plant?

I'd hate to even guess what goes into McDonalds in some of these countries.
