in about a week im supposed to be getting my BGK in from petco and ive been hearing that i need to keep it in the dark. so i was curious if anyone has any of these moon lights? i would like to know how easy they are to install and how well they work. or if anyone else has any suggestions on how to keep the tank dark during the day. any help is appreciated. thanks!
I don't know any specific BGK information but moon lights are super easy to use and super cool. You might consider looking around online. Dedicated aquarium moonlights are far more expensive than other LED options.

I used blue Rope Lights that I got at walmart for my 80G. Very cheap and they look great. They fit perfectly right under the lip of the top frame of the tank.

For our Hibernation Pool we've just got a low wattage blue light from Wal-mart. Looks just like moonlights.

I installed a pull chain light fixture in my canopy and have a blue Noma light bulb in it.
It looks great and I still get to see my fish.
It is cool to watch how the nocturnal fish come out and do their thing while the others are all at rest.
I recommend them for any tank!

I just ordered some off of amazon.com in blue and white so I can decide which I want. They sell them on Dr. Foster & Smith for about 16 dollars. It's cheap if you have a small tank, but I suppose the bigger your tank is, the more expensive it gets--so rope lights would work best for a big tank.
My tank is only 29 gallons, so I only needed 1 LED light.
