In light of TehTANK losing his beloved Oscar today, I have decided to have a page in the photobucket site dedicated to the fish we have loved and lost (or other beloved animals no longer in our lives.)
This thread is for pictures of these animals/fish. I will load them to the IN MEMORY album in photobucket.
If you wish to add a short caption above each pic, tell me how you want it to read. Has to be a short one tho as it's all I can add.
I have paid for this site now so there will be no more annoying ads to bug us.
I previously posted to upload your own pictures but I find this option is not available and only I can load them so will do so if posted here.

I'll put in a pic of Pigsey, my wife was heartbroken when this gal died, she used to come to the top of the tank so my wife could pat her, then one day got caught behind the uptake of a UGF.

Bubba seems a popular name for oscars, mine is named Leroy, how you lost yours makes me worry a little about ours, he has got to the stage where he will jump up at feeding time now, and I noticed the other day one of the lids had been chipped, only thing we could put it down to is him jumping and hitting it

What's with the name Bubba for Oscars? Both Teh and Christopher had Oscars by the name of Bubba.
Chris, he was a very nice fish indeed and his picture is loaded up at the link below.

He was such a happy fish. He would always come to see me when I looked in the tank. Its hard to believe he lived 2 years and 2 months with us since I gave him such a rough beginning. He was a fighter to the very end. I'll never forget that old boy.

This is a very sweet thing for you to do Hobbs. Only fish I loved and loss was the koi and we gave him away to a farm with a koi pond. *sniff* Miss you R-LA.
And in 71 I lost my mated Oscars in the flood.........man did that hurt.

We do get attached to our fish and especially those cichlids. I love my tetras and all but I would not go into a heap if I found one of them floating. But I surely would if one of my parrots died. Seems the bigger they are, the more loveable and human they act. Better than the way humans act!
