My mom, Joy, made these cookies for H and I!!! I love them!!! BUT, I kinda love them too much to eat them!
I wanted to show you all my mom -- showing her talents off. My mom is so artistic!
Do any of you know of a way I could preserve them? Maybe make a shadow box or some other way to display them? They are so neat and so much talent and effort on her part, I don't want to spend 1 minute eating one of them and then it be gone forever....
PS the collie looks just like Kelsey... and in the horses, I see Bacardi, Hope, Rocket, Sundance, and some I'd probably buy if I saw them on for sale!

Now why in the world would someone make a cookie too pretty to eat? It just seems wrong.
Those are amazing!

Wow!! Those are some awsome cookies,thumbs2: I don't think I could eat them ethier lol. Does she own a bakery or something? If she doesn't I'm sure she would be supper successful if she did!!
Holy smokes! Those are awesome!
I think you can shellac them - I'd call a craft store and find out. I know there is various dough-art that is meant to be hung on the wall, and they're shellaced...
Tell your mother I'm super-impressed....:19:

OMG! Those cookies are amazing!!! The merle on the collie is outstanding. I LOVE the little Appaloosa horse. I had an Appy for 29 years, they are my breed of choice.
Would your Mom share her recipe and directions on how she 'paints' these cookies? I've decorated cookies but they looked NOTHING like this.
If she's planning on starting a business....she needs to hire a staff because she's going to have too much work for one person.

They look great and would aid in my dieting. I couldn't eat them. Well at least not all at once. I would have to find ones that chipped accidently (as I let one slip to the floor) OH THERE'S ONE NOW!!! LOL

That's kind of like just eating crumbs in the bottom of the potato chip bag, and not counting it, because it's just crumbs! Not that I've done that...(blush)
Those cookies are really impressive. They must have taken your Mom a long time to do...She must love you very much!!!:ssmile:

very nicely done! Good thing they're not near me. I like taking any snack that looks like an animal(animal cracker..gummi bear..goldfish etc)and just showing my wife the snack as i eat the heads and feet off and making screams of agony noise coming from the animal...i know i am cruel...:hmm3grin2orange:

Crumbs count!!!! No way!!! Who started that rumor? I guess next you'll tell us that licking the bowl the cake or cookie batter was in is bad too!!! :hmm3grin2orange:
(Walks out licking the Rice Crispy treat covered spoon!!)

Those are pretty amazing, a lot of time and effort must have gone into those, I would have a hard time eating them too. Id definitely be tortured by the thought of, well if they look this good, how good are they going to taste? I imagine I would look something like this :18:

Well, before I could tell H NOT to eat the cookies, he ate the bassett hound [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Hopefully, I can preserve them somehow.
We've all told my mom she could make these and sell them, but it really takes her a long time to decorate them (way too long to make it profitable). Plus, she said if she were making them for strangers, it wouldn't be fun anymore.
She's made pregnant lady ones for my sister, clowns, flipflops, goldfish, etc. for the grandkids and friends' grandkids. She has always been so crafty and artistic, and I have none of her ability in those areas. I really wish I did!
PS not only is she talented, but she is beautiful... here she is with my Dad and fur brothers:

I would love one of those cookies with my cookie this morning and I would have no problem eating them at all. They look too good not to eat.

I hoped you rapped H on the knuckles for consuming basset hounds without express permission...
