I saw a leapord frog plec last weekend I wanted badly but he was just about bite size.This nandus has grown almost an inch and a half in the past month.Not bad for a fish I thought was just about dead when I bought himthumbs2:

No ,he has run out of bite sized tank mates.He is in a tank with 2 blood parrots,african featherfin,4 silver dollars,tiger plec,african bush fish and 3 extremely fast hatchet fish.I feed a dozen rosys and small feeder comets [mixed]per week.He is quite happy.Tha african bush fish is quite the hunter as well,the rosys are for him,good news about him is that he loves pellet food too,the nandus eats nothing but living stuff.

How big does he get?
6-8" in the wild.I figure he will get about the middle of that range.He is about 5" right now.I would love to snap a pic of him the way he looks now,very full looking,almost bass like with great splotching.

I can understand what you mean - I love watching my bush fish hunt, and yes it's great that it'll eat pellets too. It's funny cause my knife waits in ambush while the bushfish drives the guppy right to him.
