I am a beginner fish keeper. I just got a 1 gallon starter tank that comes with an air pump. I would need a small fish that can live alone and in non-heated water. Do you have any suggestions?

I can not think of a fish I would put in that tank. Minimum I would use is a 5 gallon.

Welcome to the Fabulous AC!:22:
Sorry but that tank is good for shrimp but too small for even a betta.
Its your tank though!
Does it have a filter?

Like the others said, 1g is too small for any fish. You could do cherry shrimp in that tank, they're very cool.

i agreed with everyone else.. 1 gallon is too small.. but if you want to turn some heads here on AC, i would drop a goldfish in there.. welcome to AC!!:22:

If this is new, I'd return it and get something bigger. This size will not work and should not even be sold.
