I like number one simply because a bird in flight is hard to get right... for me anyway! It was a total fluke...I like number three as well, Rue. I hope I get more responses because I really can't decide.

Levi says to please help me make up my mind, as he's really sick of the photo shoots!!!:hmm3grin2orange:

I like #1 because the bird is very prominent in the photo. I had to look for a second to find him(?) in #2. #3 is good, but I really like that the first thing you notice in #1 is the bird.

Shame you can't photoshop and put Levi (in-flight) from #1 into #2 to look like he is attacking the scarecrow...

Perhaps if you ask Levi nicely and offer a little treat.. he might be willing to recreate the pose for you one more time. LOL!!!

number one, its a good action shot, the bird is very much the center of attention, and it really shows off the beautiful color of the bird, which honestly contrasts quite nicely with the orange, red and yellow of the decorations.

number two is a cool shot too, the pose is nice, but it really doesn't feel so much that the bird is the center of attention in that shot. Possibly some cropping/enlarging could make this shot a bit more about the bird.

In number three the bird is very central, but it almost seems to be hiding or something, it really doesn't "pop" and take your attention away from the background, which since the contest is a themed one about the bird, and not just the theme and you decided to include the bird, I think you really want the bird to be the center of attention.

My choice would be number one, my eye was immediately drawn to the bird, it shows the really nice colors, and the bird even seems to be looking at the viewer of the photo, which I like. The only criticism I could make about the photo kind of contradicts my own opinion of it, and that would be I almost get the feeling that the bird is fleeing the scene, that might not be too bad of an assumption (and also might just have been in the back of my mind) from what you said before that he wasn't too comfortable with the decorations.

They're all nice in their own way, and that is quite a striking bird.

Actually, yes, i think this shot may have bested number 1! the bird looks interested, and the placement/size of the bird is good compared to the background. Obviously it's up to you what you submit, but I would say if thats your favorite, forget our opinions and go with what YOU like. No matter which pic you submit they are all good, Levi is a good lookin bird. GL in your competitionthumbs2:
