what are you expecting to see?

A school like a rasbora?

If so, you'll be disappointed. I have 12 bronze corys and then rummage around the tank but are never ever all together. They are always paired up or in bigger groups - but never seen them as a twelvesome

Mine are the same, always a few together but never all of them.

to be honest it doesnt matter too much to me i was just courious because i have seen them in a tight school at the store and thought that it was normal behavior. but if that is out of the ordinary im just happy mine are acting normal. thanks rob and rich

Yeah they tend to rest or sleep in groups but in terms of activity - theyll just rummage around the tank with friends.
no problem!

Dwarf corys are better for that tetra type schooling.

Install a moonlight or night light. It might help.
I find mine swimming all over at night.Up and down the glass and all over each other. They seem like playful fish.
During the day they don't do much.

Mine are active throughout the day. They are most active and school best when foraging, so if your corys are overfed, they won't do much of either.

My cories (skunk) only school when I drop food in the tank. It's not even really schooling since it's more of a mass migration towards the food (they're little piggies). They do appreciate the company of other cories though, and will hang out in pairs or trios.

i wish i could get a night light but my day lights take up the intire top of my tank.

the corys are active i just was under the assumption that they would all stick togeather all the time. yea they are always looking for food and go crazy at feeding time.

look on ebay - guy on there sells LED blue bulbs that I think mount under the lip of the tank inside.
