I've been looking for a new tank for my venustus pair. I plan on getting a second female. And my question is, would a tank that is 60"long x 18" wide be big enough? I know that the male will get around 10" and the female around 8".

If you can get a 6' tank that would be better, especially with having the frontosa in there too. But it's better than the 56g they're currently in.
I'd go for a 24" width...I think it makes a huge difference...moreso than the length in the larger tanks.

I would look for at least 72" long for your cichlid tank, 125 is perfect.thumbs2:

Wow I didn't know there was a 150g. tank that was only 5 ft. long. I'm planning on getting a bigger tank but it can't be any longer than 5 ft. because of limited space in my house. Those 6 extra inches in width (2'compaired to 18") would help a lot. Is it a regular stocking size or custom made? Do you know the manufacturer of it?

Glasscages.com Great site.. That's where we like to order from. They've got a huge inventory of tanks.
