I don't find that as 'hilarious and creative' as they seem too. Poor pup...

But then I don't own a poodle.
As for "poor dog" if you read some of the blurb under the pictures, the dogs seem to LIKE it, and the dyes are water based, so they'd come right out.
It never ceases to amaze me what people will think of as "a hobby." (sigh) These folks have too much time on their hands....:sconfused:

This sort of thing is done for grooming comps. Most of the dogs used are usually used to standing for hours on end getting primped and preened. Bit sad for a life of a dog but what ever floats your boat.:scry:

Heve these people ever owned a dog?
Dogs are proud animals and do get insulted easily, especially when you mess with their coats! They don't like this crap!
Poor thing!
Boots and coats for some smaller dogs I kind of understand but that is criminal!

I saw a whole group of photos of this type and this photo was the one I found the least offensive. These poor dogs are dyed up to look so grotesque and silly. I can't help but think the owners just do this to bring attention to themselves. It costs a small fortune to have dogs done like this and it has to be redone every few weeks. Dumb.
I don't like it either...
...but it will wash out...and grow back...I don't imagine they leave the dogs like that after the competition...

I'm definately not an advocate for this, but I will say the "buffalo" looked kind of cool...

Even 20 percent of the breeds we created are a travesty in the dog world. Especially number 9. Thats one weird looking dog.

That’s all kinds of wrong but that’s why I don’t get dogs like that they have no purpose. I'll stay with my real dogs that are bread for a resin other than a mere toy.
Standard Poodles were bred as water dogs...to retrieve birds...
They are still used as retreivers in some places and of course some individuals prefer them for that use.

Disgusting. I never have been a fan of the poodle anyway but that takes the cake. I like my mutts I have had over the years anyway. A good dog saved from the shelter and I am happy..
