I just got a pair of Honey Gourami and I noticed that they are eating the black beard algae that i cannot get rid of. Is this okay? I had a SAE, for helping with the BBA but he died in just 5 days. No idea why, levels all good, I did change the water temp a little.

If you changed the temp too fast anything is possible!
I wouldn't complain about them eating BBA! lol Its just new to them.I would be surprised if they ate a lot of it.No it won't hurt them.
I have been watching mine nibble at the bits of algae on my hornswort but they are not cleaning it off!
