Has anyone tried ultimatsponge.com's products. They look good pricing is good and feedback on aquabid is great.
I try to breed angels and guppies. Which one of his flake foods would be good for this? Spirulina? beefheart? Earthworm?
Thanks for the help

If you don't get an answer to this soon Pm Lady Hobbs, she is very knowledgable about angels.
Good luck

To breed guppies you just need a male and a female and they will breed. You'll be getting fry roughly every four weeks. The fry can eat crushed flake food.
Angels while not difficult to breed are a little harder. The first challenge is to get a pair since both male and female look the same. The second challenge is feeding the fry as they only eat newly hatched brine shrimp for the first 6 weeks or so. To get a pair you could buy 6 juvies and as they mature they will pair up. You can now isolate the pair in their own tank and supply a piece of slate leaning against the tank wall for them to lay the eggs on. Mine usually use the side glass of the tank and ignore anything else i might put for them to use. A bare bottom tank with a sponge filter is best. The female will lay the eggs and the male will pass over them to fertilize them. You may remove the parents after the eggs are laid or you may leave the parents to take care of the eggs. The best approach depends on the actions of the parents as the fancier angels sometimes lose the ability to care for their eggs and sometimes just eat them. I usually leave the parents with the eggs until they move the eggs to a horizontal surface then i remove the parents. About seven days after laying the fry will be free swimming and it's time to feed them newly hatched brine shrimp about 3-4 times daily doing frequent water changes with a small diameter hose held close to tank floor. Also, condition the parents with a high protein food, I used freeze dried plankton, feeding them a high protein food will cause more eggs to be produced and it will also cause them to get into the spawning mode so to speak.

Mine get mostly good flake food and twice a week dried blood worms after they had their regular meal. These are a treat-not a food and should not be used as a food.
I have breed none, yet, but I know the best way is if you have a pair to move them into a 20 or 30 gallon tank and let them breed there. There should be no gravel in the tank and only a sponge filter that is already seasoned. And of course slate or pvc pipe leaning in the corner to spawn their eggs.
A large water change and temps to 82 should promote them to breed.....also a dark tank. Put a towel over it if necessary leaving yourself a peep hole so you can observe.
Personally I would remove the pair after spawning so the eggs don't get eaten as they generally do several times before leaving them alone.

I really didn't address your food question. I thought myself of trying real live worms but decided against it. You don't know if worms are raised in manure or what they may come from and I didn't want to introduce parasites to my fish. Beef heart is used often but once again, you have to be careful with too much meat products for angels as it can cause bloat. I think if you just stick with a good flake food you will have healthier angels.
Spirulina flakes now and then suppliments the veggies but mine don't get it more than a couple times a week.
