I put a chunk of cantaloupe in the tank tonight and in just over an hour the plecos had it devastated and a big chunk broke off and floated to the top. Next thing I see is the silver aro gulp it down! He chewed on it for quite awhile, but definitely liked it and swallowed the entire thing. I still can't believe it! :ssuprised:

Yes, the fronts will pick at it and swallow small chunks, as will the loaches and chinese algae eater. Very good for them too.

Mine will eat cantaloupe and avocado when I am feeding the GG. I thought mine was the only wierd one...:hmm3grin2orange:

They eat a lot of fruit in the wild. It is possible to fish for them using fruit as bait.

I forgot...mine also likes shredded carrots! I never really thought of them as a fish that enjoyed fruits and veggies! Cool to see yours does this too crispy!
