any duck hunters? [Archive]

was out on the pond last weekend with my buddy and we got a couple woodies and a teal...but we were set up all wrong because the wind decided to blow a different direction than we anticipated.

i am going again on monday. just going alone from my canoe. i plan to just back it into the tall grass on the edge of this marshy pond, maybe cover the canoe up with some grass and leaves, set up some decoys. i will bring my camera...just wanted to see if there were any other duck hunters out there.

when you hunt them with a camera, you can bring a bag of bread with you. try that with a shotgun and the warden is liable to cuff you...ha

this will be my 40th year of waterfowling!
Look forward to it every year, season opens Thanksgiving

I used to hunt ducks,quite a while back.Woodies where always my fav to hunt.Congrats on a good day.

in maine where i hunt em, the season runs from oct 1st til dec 23rd...

i enjoy it soooo much. teals have got to be about the most delicious tender little nugget of meat you can find anywhere.

i got my fingers crossed for some geese to fly through as well...
