So today when i was feeding my Jardini i left a dead cricket on the top of his tank while i grabbed a new one because i accidentally killed it while trying to grab it. I turned to face the cricket cage and heard a thud. I turned back around to see him quickly swimming away from the surface! He must have bumped his head. But dont worry he looks ok. No disorientation or anything like that, it was just a love tap :hmm3grin2orange:
He is beginning to have less and less patience at feeding time now, hanging around the surface waiting for his food, so i guess i gotta be more careful from now on! I cant wait till he is big and strong. :ssmile:

Arowanas frequently jump and splash at feeding time. And the bigger they get, the more they do it. How's your jardinis appetite these days? Growing? Still feeding superworms also?

Yeah it sure is! Im thinking about upgrading him to medium crickets cause he doesnt seem to even chew the small ones anymore! Lol He loves his worms, chows down on them nicely as well :ssmile: Im going to buy a bag of 110-130 small frozen shrimps for him and try them out soon.

Good stuff! Definitely upgrade the crickets... and try to keep superworms in the diet.

Sounds like you are doing well with him and he will thank you in the long run! Glad to see his appetite growing! :fish:

I havent met a predatory fish yet that would turn down crickets or raw shrimp.
