Has anyone ever had them have babies in their tank?

I recently bought 2 serpent stars from the lfs, 2 weeks later and I have found 3 starfish that are extremely tiny in the tank, they have crawled inside a hole in the live rock and I see them come out a little bit from time to time.

If I can get a picture I will post it.

Are you sure they're young ones? I'm guessing they're just another, smaller species...

They're probably micro-brittle stars, which are common hitch-hikers and great detritivores. Primarily they're sand-colored and nocturnal.

They can multiply in the tank (my system has great numbers of them), but they don't get bigger in size (the tiny one's you're seeing are probably adult specimens, probably span no more than 1" from extended tentacle to opposite extended tentacle).

The ones I am seeing are the same color as the two I bought and same shape, they dont look like brittle stars, I will try to get a picture if I can.
