Now what? They're still in the plastic thing hanging into the big aquarium. I've released the mother into the tank, and there are 18 babies and a few undeveloped eggs. I have a 10 gal, already fishless cycled, sitting empty with some plants. When can I put the babies in it? Is it safe? What does the temp need to be?

It's safe to move the babies any time. Just make sure the temp is the same as the big tank. Next time, move the breeding box to the 10g and then put the mom in. That way, when she is done, you just have to move the mother back and tip the box.

Oh...And Conrats on the Fry :)

Thanks Abbeys_mom, I'll do that next time. Will they be able to feed if I put them in the 10? How will they find the food?

Trust me, grind up some flake and they will find it. You'll be shocked when you see them darting over to get the food.
