Gain my almost 30 year old QH (pardon his hooves, the farrier was supposed to be out and never showed) He is goofy, he usually stands with his tounge sticking aout 4" out of his mouth.

Our yard is divided in half, front and back. We keep the horses in the back. But because there is not much grass in the back (its rained so much it has become a mud factory) we let them out front when we are here to watch them. Which is most of the day. They have a big hay bale in the back but I know its not the same for them as lush green grass.
They really don't mess with the garden area... My old one did once get one of my moms roses... he ate all the buds off. My mom flipped. The rose came back with 10X as many flowers and my mom said he can eat as many roses as he wants lol. I don't encourage it though, I told her clip them herself.
Thanks for the compliment on my old guy. He has had a hard life (I was told when he was much younger and in his hey day some one got jealous and cut his chest open at a competition one night). I retired him when I got him at 21. He is I think actually 28yrs old but its close enough to 30 to round it up. Its not easy keeping weight on him as he is missing most of his teeth. He rears for wormer and lifts me off the ground. He also can not be tied and hates shots. BUT he stands still for the farrier, he doesn't even halter him. He is a very cranky old man.
