Could I have a pair of blue rams with some full sized guppys or would they be food?
The guy at LFS said they are very peaceful but I don't trust him that much.

Rams and guppies are fine together. They both max out to similar sizes, and the rams' mouths aren't big enough for the guppies to be food. I've kept the two together with absolutely no problems. The rams do occasionally chase the guppies, but that never ends with any actual violence, even during breeding time. So if you want to keep the two together, go for it.

The guppies will provide a nice source of live food for the rams via the fry they produce. The rams are not likely to have issues with the adult guppies.

I don't have guppies but I do have tetras and my GBR never bothers them. He is extremely peaceful. If the guppies have babies though they are prob. goners.

Sweet! Blue Rams are AWESOME!

My Blue Rams seem to get along with everyone. They seem to be pretty shy at feeding time, so I just make sure they get enough food.
