can someone find me plans for a 10g DIY stand?

Im out of room, and my 10g is in the ugliest place 3 inches off the floor. I think its about time i made a stand for it.

Any links are appreciated

You couild go to a garage sale and find a small dresser. Or I could draw you up a plan in paint!

...if you're gonna go with a bunch of little tanks...the nicest set-ups I've seen have been shelving units...makes for a great 'wall'...

Another fantastic idea Rue, but the only small tank of mine is my 10g. The bettas 2.5g is in a good spot, and the other 2g is in a TV. My 5g is a hospital.

I like eds suggestion best

If you wanted your stand to be decorative, ie, you are willing to add several coats of laquer/shelac, ontop of a couple "coats" (so to speak) of a high quality stain, you might want to use cherry, or even maple or, my personal fave, Walnut.

Walnut is my personal preferance. All of the stocks for my rifles are made from walnut. I like the grain of it, others may hate it. You might like cherry or maple. Go lookaround in a lumber store and see what you like best.

Walnut is a very nice wood , more expensive than some, one of the best things is you will not need clear coat but if you don't like dark woods , I'd recommend white oak, for a light wood, santos mahogany for a med tone with awesome highlights. The oak and walnut are easy to find, the santos mahogany is difficult to find. Do yourself a favor and buy the wood that suits your color without stain and just clearcoat the wood, then if you ever get a scuff or scratch all you have to do is lightly sand and throw on another coat of clear and it'll look like new.
