A few pics of my sheep.

Their personalities are cute as long as you don't try to make them do something.

They aren't big on being restrained, which usually leads to problems when trying to trim feet and such.

Nice sheep. I especially like the first pic so your surrounding neighborhood can be seen and all the hills and trees. So much nicer than flat lands!

LOL..... Why is it we always have what we don't want..... and want what we don't have?
I would love to own a nice piece of flat land, where I could look out and have all my animals accounted for. As it is now....I have to trek my butt to the barn to make sure all is well.
I don't have much of a neighborhood, altho I do now have a neighbor that I can see. Other than that....it's all tree covered hills.

That is nice country! Kentucky was one of my favorite states to drive through.
I keep forgetting how flat michigan is! lol

Here's another pic that shows a better view of the landscape. Nuttin' but hills and tress.
Our property looked just like that when we bought it. It took us about five years, but we finally got it cleared enough to have livestock.
My husband's grandpa thought we were idiots for buying this place. His exact words were....'this place isn't fit for man nor beast'. He was probably right, but we've made the best of what we have.

My sheep are Katahdin Hair Sheep. They shed their coats in the spring. Katahdins are a meat sheep and most of the lambs are slaughtered.
The Katahdins are used in herding trials in the US because they are easier to keep than the wool sheep.
With that being said....I do have one that needs to be sheared. She's a cross breed and does not shed.

LOL!! I threaten them with the 'mutton truck' at least a couple times a week.
