Allrighty I just got a used tank off kijiji. Anyways it smells pretty bad. I think its the rocks what should I use to neutralize the smell. Going to get new substrate but will be a bit. And plus the smell will still be there a bit when I remove the rocks. Any optionsxD

I used lemon juice and very hot water to clean my old tank. It did a really good job for me, and it was pleasant smelling!

The vinegary smell usually goes away very quickly though!
I agree with all the options mentioned.

Probably just rotting food in the substrate. Washing it out in dechlorintored water should do the trick.

I've used vinegar and water too. You can also scrub stuff with plain water and a brush.
