someone asked me yesterday for several unusual saltwater fish.
i thought, and said a toadfish, a lionfish, a dragon goby, a scorpionfish.
just wondered if anyone second this idea

Does it have to be aquariumfish. Otherwise we have the jelynose /tadpole fishes, the goblin shark, deep sea angler fish as well just to name a few.

if i had a 6000-gallon:ssmile: tank, or maybe a two-story waterproof room, i would keep a guitar fish, but unless i win the lottery soon, not gonna happen. to bad though, those are awesome fish, abeit to massive for private collectors
a flounder, toadfish, scorp. fish, and lion fish would be a good freaky tank

Most of the Gar species can be introduced to salt water.

i really dont like gar that much, no offense to gar fanatics. i could get one of the small/medium lionfish for a 55-75 tank with one or two tankmates but most gars need 100+

All Gars need 100+ gallons. I really like Lionfish! If I ever did a saltwater setup I would either do a Lionfish or a Trigger of some sort.

yeah ive never personally keept a saltwater in my house but have had experience with them. i'm planning on haveing a tank with a lionfish, clown trigger, hippo tang and possibly a brittle star for brightining up the live rock some more. a couple years ago the lfs that is now closed sold lots of rare fish like lions, ribbon eels, arrowana, and lots more. there was a lion there that i remember was priced at $15.00 that outgrew someones tank so they took it back. if i was serious about saltwater then i would have snatched that up! it would sure beat the 30-50 dollar range nowadays!
