Went to a herding trial over the weekend. These fellas greeted us at the gate.

At one time I had 5 acres in the woods but directly thru the woods was a gaming preserve where they planted a dozen turkeys. They decided they liked my yard better than the preserve so the game warden would bring me cracked corn to feed them. The first year I had those 12, the next year 36 and the next year 75. I had turkey poop everywhere and couldn't step outside without shoes on. I stopped feeding them to get them to go away.

This is why I'm no fan of fowl. We had a mess of wild turkeys that decided to roost in our woods. I started letting the dogs out to harass them and they finally decided to sleep and crap elsewhere.

Don't care to own them, but I got a kick out of the 'hens' sitting on the fence watching the 'boys' spar.
