What are your favorite guilty pleasures? The things you do JUST for yourself, that serve really no one but yourself?

My favorite guilty pleasures are really pretty much lazy kinds of things. I love:

Listening to unabridged Audio Books, especially while laying in bed
Taking naps
Long hot baths, and up until a few months ago, with an adult beverage but I've stopped that at least for now (makes me feel bad / yucky later)
Going outside on cool nights in my night gown and laying some hugs on some horses. I love putting my arms around them and I love the smell of them. My big horse will even hug me back.
Spending all Saturday or Sunday on the couch with my husband and our dogs watching DVDs from NetFlix
Ice cream

What about you guys? What are some of your favorite guilty pleasures?

I don't know if these rate as 'guilty'...but I love:

1. Being double-catted (when both cats come and hang out with me when I'm reading a book or watching TV).

2. Putting the chickens to bed (yes, I pat them goodnight)

3. Hanging out with my parrots in the evenings.

4. Walking the dogs.

5. Really DARK chocolate (now happily incorporated into my diet!).

6. Having a rumandcoke - don't drink very much, but I really enjoy my dark rum.

...and there's more...:hmm3grin2orange:

About every two weeks I get a pack of smokes and suck up the whole darned pack in one night. Then I got two more weeks without one.

1) Southern Rap
2) Drinking a beer on the stairs leading to town
3&4) Reading Comic Books/ wearing my marvel t-shirt
5) Playing Magic The Gathering (yes I'm a dork)
If I think of anymore I'll add..because I know there are more

Oh wow, Jill, another post that I could list hundreds of answers to! LOL!

Sleeping late
Cigarettes
SWEET iced tea
Snuggling with my critters
Ignoring housework and parking on the couch with a good book.
Spending a dark, rainy day on the couch watching movies.

The first thing i can say is:
-Doing survival and hiking in the Desert is certainly the only thing i would never give up for anything or anybody in the world...the Desert is a part of me and will always be.Its definitly something that i do just for my little self
It brings in place everything inside me and make me balanced and in harmony with myself and the rest of the Universe.

-I love to go for long runs and bike rides. make me so fresh and sounds!

-Walking,playing and petting my amazing dog. (White Wolf the Great)

-Cleaning and sorting all my hiking, camping gears is a real treat for me.I just like to touch all that material and feeling close to it when i am not traveling( byt the way, all my gears, are in the inwall shelf underneath my inwall tank...aaaa),When my Bfriend is standing next to it, i am on top of the world!aaa

-Watching Seinfeld episodes late at night on my laptop , in bed and falling asleep on it.

-I have to say that... (oh my gosh...)i like to go to the dollar store and spend some time there...i am really cheap, not frugal, no: cheap ( my english is right here) and if i spend 4 dollard there, i am all smile!

-Redecorating my tank after water change, when i look at the results when its done, i cant help it, it make me feel good and quite satisfied.

Buying a new tank every time i see a deal on craigslist or at a store. Although I've run out of room for more now, so I guess that won't be happening again for a while.

Good one Lab Rat girl !

i dont either but in french the translation doesnt really mean the same... it mean more like : something that make you feel happy and that you are aware of, not depending of anyboby.

Petites choses qui nous rendent heureux.

I guess it would be just being lazy - I feel guilty but on a day of needed rest I just don't care!!!!

Also licorice - I love it and can't get enough of it!! but my daughter loves it too so I have to share!!! She doesn't but I do!!!

fantasy football, ice fishing, watching English Premier League soccer, eating nachos with hot jalepenos, pale ales, Sapphire gin, and playing darts.

I think that covers some of them. (blush)

Daring to think about the Twilight Zone movies & it's remakes.
Same with Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
When I read that title it reminded me of...... nevermind. And, somewhat.

I have zero guilt for my indulgences, but here ya go:11:

**The feel of tearing down the road at night when no traffic is out on my bike
**Taking my boat out onto the lake and parking it in a dark cove and just laying on the bow enjoying my sweet precious time alone
**Chocolate Cake...the kind where its almost as good as the best sex of your life
**Boose...rare treat for me these days but I love a good glass of Absinthe or a Vodka Tonic
**Shopping...its a compulsion, Im constantly atleast window shopping
**Music...nothing is better than sitting down and playing dj mixing some loops

- Spending the day at the junkyard sitting in random cool cars
- This ones bad, theres this road here thats twisty in a valley, kinda like a touge and its 2 lanes. Its packed during the day so you can go only 40km/h from slow people being in the way. Its absolutely dead at midnight, i blare down it and swerve from lane to lane. my record is 120km/h and theyre steep curves. Sometimes i come out of a curve so fast that i come within a inch of sideswiping the guard rail on the other side

Sounds more like a terrible idea then an indulgence.

Its got a history though, back in the day people took their old school muscle down it and cops turned the blind eye on it, theyre a bit more strict now

not too bad if you know what youre doing, ive got a route that i take when im bored. you go down the twisty road, and that takes you right beside the river after, then you go for a bit and you hit the middle of downtown (which is killer Saturday nights) then i end up home

I am a major sweet-tooth.. I swear its an addiction LOL

I spend 20 dollars every 2nd day, buying 2 blacks of marble chocolate, macadamia chocolate and several bags of doritos. If I don't get my sweeties I burst into tears... :11: Its all my own money thats spent, but I am getting more and more limited in what I can get because of mum's concerns for my diet.... :-(

I love reading what you all like to do!!!

And, I guess I don't feel too guilty about my guilty pleasures because I plan to indulge in some today and not ashamed to admit it thumbs2:

Is that guiltlessness or self-indulgence?
