confused about salt help!

i need to put a little bit of salt into my aqaurium what kind can i use can i use normal salt? will it affect my other freshwater fish? help!

Why do you need to add salt.

It might affect your other fish. How depends on exactly which fish you keep.
You shouldn't use any salt that contain iodide.

I use salt in all of my tanks, been doing it for years. do not use salt that contain iodide, why i do not know. going by some of my books iodide can be use to treat certain things in the aquarium. catfish do not like salt . either do plec, so make sure you know what you doing!!!

I got 2 gold gourmi and 2 trident sharks my peacock eel need salt says one book to make it feel comfratable and lessed stressed. O william i found out that the trident sharks are also called Tridencent Sharks

I can't say for sure since I still haven't figured out which species you have bought that they called trident sharks. My guess is that it will work as long as you keep the salinity low. (raise the salinity slowly)

lol thats were i got the salt from and researcehd more bout the salt and The sharks you showed me are excatly those that i have I researched and found out they have about 6 diffrent names lol
