Hello I have a Fluval 405 with a cracked case (I recieved it this way.. apparently it wasn't packed & shipped properly) anyway. Is there any way to repair this? I tried using a fiberglass patch kit to patch the hole on the outside and then sealing the inside with silicone but water still seeps out very slowly.

I've found replacement cases but if there's some way to fix what I have, I'd prefer to do that. it doesn't have to be pretty, just functional:)

These filters cost good money and do not accept it in less than perfect conditioner. Just return it to the store and get another. If it come online, contact Fluval and they're send you a new case.

Unfortunately I bought it used (in good working condition) but whoever packed it didn't pack it tight enough so it had a pretty rough trip:(

Welcome to the Fabulous AC!

There is a fair amount of pressure build up inside that canister when its running.
That pressure will cause most any crack repair to leak.
Have you contacted the seller about it?
Get them to pay part of the new body. lol
I think it needs to be replaced or you will have an ongoing battle with the leak.

I agree to send it back to him and ask for your money back. These don't break all that easy and I think it was broken when he sold it to you. At least ask him for some of your money back so you can buy a replacement.

You can buy replacement parts if you want to go that way.
