I have a male kenyi cichlid which has been the boss of my tank ever since I got them. Then all of a sudden my female kenyi is going after him and her colors semm to be changing she was blue but now all of a sudden she is having yellow appear. Sad to say she killed my male this morning. any thoughts on why the sudden change before she was extremly submissive.

I think Mith had a blue african turn yellow as well but I don't know about the aggressive change.

It's because she is not a "she". The one turning had been a sub dominant male and is now deciding he's ready to challenge for alpha male status. Only the males turn from blue to yellow.
