I finally got a video of my tank. Didn't get all the inhabitants on film, but it's a pretty cool vid. Check it out and lemme know what you think!

I've not seen an arowana before~[Only Registered Users Can See Links.]

Sure got lots of hidey-holes in the tank, is it ever a pain to clean in and around all that stuff, and then is it all attached/glued somehow so it doesn't shift? I bet my corys would love to play in there, mine is pretty boring, but you've given me some ideas.

Thats impressive, thanks for sharing :18: How do the other fish get anything to eat with that thing trolling the top of that tank like that?

The other fish get sinking pellets that the arowana can't get fast enuff. :)

Thanks for all the comments everyone!! Much appreciated... it's about time I had a video.

Aros looking great! Rare to find them at that size without signs of drop eye and with their long fin rays still in good shape. Excellent :22:

I've got a 135G (empty) and I keep going back and forth with plans... Big fish... little fish... big fish... little fish...

How much work is it for you with the large fish? What do you provide for food and such?

I won't lie to you... I put quite a bit of effort into the tank. Twice weekly 30-40% water changes. Once a month filter cleaning and decor removal (filters cleaned at different intervals).

Food consists of 3 kinds of pellets for the fronts/loaches/catfish
fresh veggies and algae wafers for the plecos/CAE/loaches
superworms, rainbow trout fillets, freeze dried red shrimp, and 2 kinds of carnivore sticks for the arowana/tigerfish

But to me, it's all well worth it. A clean tank and a good, varied diet is key to healthy fish. Especially when you want to keep them for many years. Don't forget, I am overstocked and the extra effort cleaning has to be done. Shouldn't be so bad when I get the bigger tank with more filtration.

Glad you got some ideas. Nothing in my tank is glued or siliconed together. Every month it's a bit of a different scheme. Adds to the challenge I suppose.
