Fortunatly his growth has seemed to slow down alot, hes now about 16". Hopefully it holds out till atleast spring and Ill either setup the cattle trough for him as a heated pond or move him to the LFS for awhile. Since Ive decided to go on and get my doctorate degree I probably wont be moving this summer as planned, thus no place for that 300G just yet.:22:

I'll keep him one way or another, I have grown to love this fish...although I will admit I hit the roof when my mom showed me her new fish purchase...lol He was pretty cute at about 2" tho. I can set the stock trough up in the basement or garage with a couple of canister filters, inline heaters and hang a shop light over it if I have to. Or I can take him to the LFS temporarily and put him in the 30" wide 250G with the other big cats on display. But my 150G is 20" wide so hes still got some time left:11:

My brother and I once set up a kiddie pool.It was 6ft across and 2ft deep.It had metal sides and a pleasantly thick vinyl interior.We made plexi tops for it with holes cut for filtration.It rocked! It looked kinda funny with all the kid stuff on the outside so we made a cedar wall around the outside of it.
He kept a muskie in there for over a year almost two with no problem.
It was a cheap build to house a wild caught fish that grew large fast.

For alot of these fish indoor ponds is about the only way to go unless you want to drop some serious cash on it. Fortunatly TSN arnt *that* huge, one of the more manageable bit cats, most stick to around 2ft and its rare to find one in the home tank over 30". Combine that with the fact they arnt huge bodied fish either. The tank that I have always planned on purchasing is a TruVu 300G wide, its 8ft long 30" wide and 2ft tall....that should do him for life. But until then I guess Ill do what I have to, I just really dont want to setup a large tank here...only to move it in a year or so. But a temporary tropical pond with that hideous blue trough is a good alternative:14:

Thanks for the comments everyone :22: Fortunatly the program that Im going into is kind of lax so I shouldnt really be any busier than I am right now. I am going to look for a *real* job after I graduate with my LPC in December, still going to try to work at the LFS a bit if anything just do the maintenance end of the tanks there. Ive grown to love the large display of big cats and pacu:11:

Good pics, great looking fish. Glad to know you know what you're doing. I've seen a horrible amount of references stating that 2-3 tigers could be kept in a 75. I'm personally a bigger fan of the Lima Shovelnose, but your Tiger is a beaut. thumbs2:

Thanks guys, TSN are great fish. Ive always wanted a Lima Shovelnose, perhaps one day. They are all great fish, the shovelnoses. So much more personality than youd expect from an ambush predator :22:
