getting another car

looks like i might be. i scrounged through the basement and ive hoarded a ton of aquarium stuff over the years, lots of which i wont use again and is just taking up room.

I added the total value, and hopefully will rake in around $2000, and thats for selling everything for cheap. ive got alot of the stuff spoken for already for a total value of $1000. with the money, im buying a RWD beater Japanese car. i put up a ad, basically all i need is something that will run or at least last a hour on the highway so i can get it to my other house to work on. Looking for a 240sx or a AE86 Trueno but im not picky at all, rust and damage not a problem. Something around $600-$1000 so i can throw in some parts

This is just going to be a drift project and a car i can do burnouts on and stuff like that, i baby my Maxima too much. ive never hit the redline and its never seen a burnout or any of that fun stuff.

Good project for ya. You should be able to find something that runs more than an hour for that. Those cars are sold to junk yards for $50. lol

Have you checked to see how available parts for it is? You don't want something you can't buy parts for. Have fun and let us know what happens.

I found this one guy that has a Toyota Soarer, the only problems are a smashed windshield and dented trunk. i said theres no way my stuff is worth trading for a Soarer because if im right Soarers were only sold in Japan. His brother imported it from Japan a few years ago and moved to the states, hence hes stuck with the Soarer and he has one himself so its no use to him

i thought it was the NA one, its the crazy twin turbo. $4500 plus my stuff as trade, i have it but its not enough room for me to work around. im not really in a rush and i would just like to wait and see if i can find a R32 Skyline for cheap, there was one for sale here 6 months ago, GTR and the guy needed money since he lost his job, $1800 for it. I didnt have the money and im still beating myself

Another thing i may do is try to fit a RB25DETT (TT=Twin Turbo) in my Maxima, noones done it and it would take quite a bit of work but it would be worth it. I can get a RB25DETT with a Skyline AWD Tranny for 2 grand, i would convert the Skyline Tranny then to RWD (not that hard). problem is to convert a FWD car to RWD you need to move ALOT of stuff, its been done on Integras and stuff. its another thought

My friends cousin has a old school Supra, the kid doesnt even have his liscense but its out of the shop finally and at their place. Im dropping by monday to see it

Biggest fail, theres this Datsun F10 at the junkyard, 4 speed stick 1971. this guy asked me to use some of my tools, and he went up and said how nice the F10 was. He looks under it and said its FWD. i said theres no way, FWD was rare back then. Sure enough, it was FWD. F10 were only made FWD which is weird. i would have bought it whole if it was RWD

this is killing me, a guy on another forum has the same car as me but the Brougham edition, very rare and digital gauges.the front right fender was replaced and isnt painted and its got dents and rust but perfect engine and tranny

Hes in B.C though and i cant make the trip, ive bugged him for the months hes been trying to sell it and he said he wants it gone asap, $600. Im trying to see if he would drive it over to me and i pay for him to take the bus back to B.C
