View Full Version : Best and Worst Fresh Veggies For Snails

My blue and gold Apple snails really like cucumber. They don't seem to want okra at all. The one I had before gobbled up eggplant. Lettuce is a sure bet. I have some watermelon in there now. We'll see how that goes.

All these foods are served raw and homegrown when possible.

These snails, and others, will eat a wide variety of veggies. What are the best? AC says foods high in calcium are important for shell health.

What veggies should not be fed to them?

I would just use cucumber, I use it in all my tanks.

They ate the watermelon. Not as voraciously as the cucumber though.

Mine really like the cucumber, too, and also zucchini slices.

Mine eat cucumber, squash, lettuce, spinach, brussell sprouts and canned green beans.
