Perhaps a "Royal" Farowralla (sp) or a regular one... depends on what you paid. My LFS sells the reg ones for $8 but the Royals are like $40.00.

Try searching for Twig Catfish (the common name around here) :)

Its definately a species of farlowella. I looked into them a bit before deciding on a threadfin. Sandypants may be right about it being a royal.

I don't think its a Twig Catfish or a Royal as they have a mouth like a Pleco and that i only paid £10 (Sterling) for it i'm still puzzled It has a mouth simmilar to a cory 16693

Actually, the females and males have different colorations so if thats the only difference you see we may have the right species.
The species you named above doesnt seem to actually be a species (it may have been at one time, but catfish species are constantly getting switched around) I think they are the same catfish though, Phractura Intermedia and Phractura ansorgii, but ansorgii being the species as of today. Just speculation but it seems to add up, thats why i said "try" Phractura ansorgii
It seems to look like a Sturisoma aureum.
