Drip Loop

I have a 24g tank I setup with aquasoil and planted it with glosso and a few other plants. Due to the massive ammonia spike typical with aquasoil, I have not yet added any fish/shrimp to the aquarium. This also means I have not added a single piece of food to the aquarium.
Today I noticed small 1-2mm white worms floating in the water column. Anyone know what these could be? I cannot get a photo due to size, but just a really small white worm that readily wiggles through the water column.
This is going to be a Crystal red shrimp aquarium so I am wondering what I should do about them. Are they harmful to shrimp/young? Should I try to kill them with Fenbendazole? Any info about this problem I would really appreciate. I do not have these worms in any aquarium that has fish in them so this is something I typically only see in my shrimp tanks.
