How many can i fit into a 30 galon?

Well, i have some convicts, they are really cool looking fish. Anyway, i was wondering how many convicts could i put into a 30 gallon for a convict community tank. Same gender too. Also i just had a case of black spot disease with one of my convicts well it has been gone for about a week so i decided to put the other convicts back in. Well now it is back. I did a 75% water change before i added the other convicts i have 3 convicts now but it is beggining there is a long story to why i have 3 now. Anyway, all help is appreciatd.:shappy:

I think you could get away with 3 females together in the tank, but honestly I would only do 1 mated pair or 2 males with caution.

Well i have a mated pair, with another female it is a long story. I have a 4 inch female with 1.5 inch male and a 1.5 inch female the 1.5"ers are mated the 4 is alone. A long story on how i got them. Well i have like 38 baby convict cichlids and i was going to keep some and make a convict tank. All female or all male. Just wanted to know. Ha The two are about to spawn again. :( so many ha i finally pushed myself to cull the brood. was at 52 now at 38
