Wait you want to add all those catfish? I think thats a bit much. Im confused with what you wish to add.

#Y fish B
#Z fish c

Awesome thanks a lot for clarifying.

I don't think that you can add glass cats AND 6+ corys. I think it will have to be one or the other. They will be competing for the same real estate.

The school of tetras should be fine tho

Yah corys are schoolers and should be kept in numbers of at least 6. Corys are def cool fish - but unfort it doesnt look it will work in your tank

Shrimp to clean up what?

if you want cheap shrimp, I would think about adding some cherries to the tank. Or if you want to go cheap (since there is no real cheap ones in are are area) you could go with ghost shrimp.

Make sure they get food, and that they don't become food. If your going to get shrimp from petland, try finding someone online that will send them to you, much better deal.

Yes, they charge around 3 bucks each for a cherry shrimp. They are usually sold around $1 and much higher quality. They have great fish, you just got to watch the prices.

Ghost shrimp have been known to attack cherries, and would advise agaisn't it. I would also be a bit worried about the cherries with the farowella cat.

My LFS has cherries priced at $3 each or 3 for $8. I think $3 ea is pretty average.

Like I said before, people usually sell them on the internet for 30 for $25 or somewhere around $1 each.

So Do shrimp(ghost) have any different impact on the water levels than fish?

robflanker
09-17-2009, 04:33 PM
What do you mean water-levels?

like nitrates, -ites, and ammonia?

Or where the fish swim?

If u decide to get ghost shrimp... watch out for them when your vacuuming the gravel or changing water. I always have the worst luck with that.
