Have had my pygmy's in the 29 gallon with red cherry shrimp for 2 months now and everything is wonderful. I have alot of java moss, 1 piece of drift wood (where they stay under all the time), 1 female shrimp and aprox. 7 babies growing just fine. Question is will the java moss produce enough food for a while for the babies if the parents mate?, and could it be that they are to young to mate yet? I have 11 pygmy cory's in the tank and like I mentioned they are doing great, they constantly hang out under the piece of driftwood all together that has java moss all over it. Have another large bunch of java moss on the other side of the tank that is attached and growing on a piece of feller stone. Also would the cherry shrimp eat the eggs or young?

They could be too young...but I would do a 10-20% water change right before you are due to have a storm. That usually entices my bronze to breed like crazy. I was told on here that cherry shrimp will not eat the eggs, they will just eat any fungus that tries to grow on them.
