And he is pretty skiddish still after about a day of being in my tank. Will he outgrow this? Unfortunately because of the size of his tank he is in my living room which has high traffic. My room is upstairs so i cant put his tank up there.

What size tank is he in?

He is only in a 60 gallon right now, but he came from a 10 gallon at the store so i would think he would be a bit more comfortable. He is only like 4 or 5 inches long and he only shares his tank with a 3 inch royal pleco.

I plan on upgrading to a 125 at least pretty soon.

If your going upgrade think about a 150-180. They get mean, and will kill everything else in your tank.
He may be ok with a pleco, but you never know.

He shouldn't harm the pleco, but they are notorious for killing most other tankmates. Is he eating yet? They are not the easiest fish to acclimate. Got any pics yet?

Good luck with him!

Yeah got him to eat 3 crickets this morning. I think it was a bit much, as his belly was big afterwards. But he is doing pretty well now, still on the skiddish side, although he seems to be improving.

Anyone know about keeping garrs with them? I really like them too. What tank size would be needed tot house both?

Wow thats big! I may just stick with my Arowana for now and maybe another cool pleco (if my royal permits).

or maybe think about spending money towards a tank that fits your jardini.

As previously stated i am willing to upgrade to a 180 but a 300 is a little much. He still has time to grow for now ya know?

Yeah not much, I would think about getting the biggest tank you can. Try craigslist, and if you want a good deal on a tank, try glasscages.com.
Is orange county in socal?

There is a guy on MFK that makes customs tank for cheap. I would try sending him a pm on there.
Here is the link to one of his older threads.
