A few weeks ago we bought three red platies to add to the 75g community. Last night one of them was absurdly fat after feeding. Over night or this morning it must have dropped fry because I saw two in a corner. I got the net out, lost them, and then found another one. After some work I caught it and put it in the fry tank we have set up.
I've never dealt with platy fry before. I don't really know the history of the female that dropped them, but three seems low. Nothing stresses that fish at all either. Plus, they seem especially adept even for fry at hiding in rocks. My 75g stocking is in my sig. Do you think I'll find more or are small batches common? Or by now have they all been eaten probably?
At least I saved one.
